Windows 7 Ultimate is an operating system developed by Microsoft and released as part of the Windows NT family of operating systems. It was released into production on July 22, 2009, and officially released on October 22, 2009. It is the successor to Windows Vista, released nearly three years earlier as windows 7 released, and it was Microsoft’s operating system for use on personal computers, including home and business desktops, laptops, tablet PCs, and media center PCs.
Windows 7 Ultimate includes features similar to Windows 7 Enterprise, but this edition is available for local users on a separate license. Meanwhile, experienced users of Windows 7 Home, Premium, and Windows 7 Pro can upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate for a fee using Windows Anytime Upgrade if they wished to do so, but the service closed in 2015. Unlike Windows Vista Ultimate, Windows 7 Ultimate does not include the Windows Ultimate Extras feature or any exclusive features as Microsoft had stated.
