Karryn’s Prison is an adult RPG, simulation, and strategy game developed and published by the independent Japanese studio Remtairy. The game was released on December 15, 2021, for Windows PC on Steam. It is a single-player game built using RPG Maker MV. The player controls Karryn, a confident young woman who is appointed as the new Chief Warden of a notorious all-male prison that has recently gone into a full riot.

Karryn’s Prison Story

Karryn is a high-ranking official who arrives at a prison with a long history of poor management and weak control over its inmates. The prison has just experienced a major riot when she takes charge. Her goal is to bring order back to the facility and establish her authority as the new warden. The story is told across multiple levels of the prison, starting from Level 1 and going deeper into the building. As Karryn spends more time at the prison and faces more situations with the male inmates, her personality and values begin to change based on what happens to her. The game has multiple endings depending on how the player manages the prison and handles Karryn’s growing internal conflict.

Karryn’s Prison Gameplay

The game is played in two main parts — prison management and turn-based combat. In the management part, the player uses an Edicts system to set rules for the prison. These edicts control how inmates are allowed to behave and what services are offered inside the prison. In battle, Karryn fights inmates who try to sexually assault her. During combat, her Willpower stat acts as a secondary health bar that lowers when she is touched. If it runs out, she becomes more open to the inmates’ actions. The Desire stat rises over time and shows how much Karryn’s resistance has dropped. The Passives system tracks more than 400 possible traits that Karryn can gain based on her experiences, and these passives change how she performs in future battles. All adult scenes in the game happen inside the combat system, not as separate visual novel scenes.

Karryn’s Prison Features

The game supports 7 languages, including English, Japanese, Russian, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Spanish. It has Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud saves, full controller support, Steam Trading Cards, and Steam Workshop support. Several DLC packs are available, including the P Cup DLC, the Gym Trainer Side Job DLC, and the Stray Pubes pack. A free demo version is available and covers content up to the end of Level 2, which offers roughly 3 to 10 hours of play. A free demo was also available before the full game launched on Steam.
