DMCA Policy
Last Updated: September 13, 2026
FileHare.com (“FileHare,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the intellectual property rights of copyright owners and takes copyright concerns seriously.
This DMCA Policy explains how copyright owners and authorized representatives can report material that they believe infringes their copyright on or through the FileHare.com website (the “Website”).
1. About FileHare
FileHare.com is a website that publishes information, reviews, descriptions, screenshots, news, and other editorial content relating to PC games and software.
FileHare may also provide links, buttons, references, or other directions to third-party websites and external file-hosting or cloud-storage services where files may be available.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, FileHare does not claim ownership of third-party games, software, or other copyrighted materials referred to on our Website.
FileHare does not intentionally host, store, upload, reproduce, repack, or modify copyrighted game or software files belonging to third parties solely for the purpose of making those files available for download. Downloadable files may be hosted and controlled by independent third-party services.
Because third-party services operate independently from FileHare, copyright owners may also need to submit a takedown request directly to the relevant external hosting provider where the actual file is stored.
2. Copyright Infringement Notifications
If you are a copyright owner or an authorized representative and believe that content published on FileHare.com infringes your copyright, you may send us a written DMCA notice.
To help us review your complaint efficiently, your notice should contain the following information:
- Identification of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed. If multiple copyrighted works are involved, you may provide a representative list.
- Identification of the material or webpage that you believe is infringing, including the exact FileHare URL or other information sufficient for us to locate it.
- Your contact information, including your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A good-faith statement that you believe the use of the material in question is not authorized by the copyright owner, the copyright owner’s agent, or applicable law.
- A statement of accuracy and authority, confirming that the information in your notification is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
These elements are consistent with the requirements for a DMCA notification under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3).
3. Where to Send a DMCA Notice
Please send copyright complaints to:
Email: contact@filehare.com
Please use the subject line:
DMCA Copyright Infringement Notice
Sending a complete notice helps us determine what content is being reported and how it relates to FileHare.
4. How We Handle Complaints
After receiving a sufficiently detailed copyright complaint, we may review the reported webpage, article, description, image, link, reference, or other material.
Depending on the circumstances, we may remove or edit content, disable or remove a link, restrict access to a webpage, or take other appropriate action.
We may also contact the person responsible for the reported content when appropriate.
A DMCA notice does not automatically mean that the reported material is infringing. We may consider the completeness and validity of the notice, applicable copyright law, fair use or other lawful uses, and the nature of the material reported.
We reserve the right to reject notices that are incomplete, inaccurate, abusive, fraudulent, or do not provide enough information for us to identify the material being reported.
5. Third-Party Download Links and File Hosts
Many download links appearing on FileHare may point to websites operated by independent third parties.
FileHare is not the storage provider for files hosted on those external services.
If your complaint concerns the actual downloadable file rather than FileHare’s webpage, article, text, image, or link, you should also contact the third-party file-hosting or cloud-storage provider where the file is physically stored.
For example, if a FileHare article contains a download link that redirects to an external file-hosting service, removing the FileHare page may not remove the underlying file from that external service.
We encourage copyright owners to submit an appropriate copyright complaint directly to the external hosting provider as well.
6. Counter-Notification
If material has been removed or access to it has been restricted as a result of a copyright complaint, the affected party may submit a DMCA counter-notification where applicable.
A valid counter-notification generally must include:
- Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that the affected party has a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification.
- The affected party’s name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the appropriate U.S. federal district court and agreeing to accept service of process from the person who submitted the original copyright complaint, where required by applicable law.
- The affected party’s physical or electronic signature.
Where appropriate and legally applicable, we may forward a valid counter-notification to the original complaining party and may restore the material after the period and conditions provided by applicable law.
7. False or Misleading Claims
Copyright complaints must be made in good faith.
Submitting a knowingly false or materially misleading copyright claim may result in legal consequences. Copyright owners and their authorized representatives should make sure that they have the necessary rights and authority before submitting a complaint.
Similarly, a counter-notification should only be submitted when the affected party genuinely believes that the material was removed or disabled because of a mistake or misidentification.
8. Images, Articles, Reviews, and Other Website Content
If you believe that an image, text, article, screenshot, logo, description, or other material published directly on FileHare.com infringes your copyright, please identify the exact URL and clearly explain which portion of the content belongs to you.
We may remove, edit, replace, or disable access to the reported material after reviewing the complaint.
For images or other material that we obtained from third-party sources, we may also investigate the source and take appropriate action where necessary.
9. No Guarantee of Immediate Removal
A copyright complaint will be reviewed as soon as reasonably practicable, but submitting a DMCA notice does not guarantee immediate removal.
We may request additional information or clarification when necessary to determine the nature and location of the alleged infringement.
We also reserve the right to take appropriate action in cases where the reported material is not under FileHare’s control or is hosted by an independent third-party service.
10. Changes to This DMCA Policy
We may update or modify this DMCA Policy from time to time.
Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. The updated policy will become effective when posted unless otherwise stated.
