The story follows a weak young man who suddenly finds himself inside a strange fantasy land full of mystery. In this place, powerful mythical maidens roam and attack any intruder who enters. As luck would have it, the young man carries a special phone that can fire hypnotic rays. He quickly learns that by pointing his phone at these mythical maidens and firing at them, he can put them under his control. A dark force also lurks in the deepest part of this land, known as the Abyss of the Soul, and the young man must face it to find his way out.

Klaroro – Abyss of the Soul is an action game where the player controls the young man and moves across the fantasy land. The player uses the hypnotic phone as the main weapon to shoot at and stun the mythical maidens who stand in the way. The control style involves gliding across the area and aiming at enemies to fire the hypnotic rays at the right moment. After a maiden is successfully hypnotized, adult content related to that character becomes available. The game takes around 40 to 47 minutes to complete on average.
