Lust Academy – Season 1 is a story-driven adult visual novel game developed and published by Bear in the Night. It was released on PC on April 12, 2022. The game is inspired by the Harry Potter books and The Magicians TV series. It is intended for adult players only and is available on Windows and Mac. The game has received mostly positive reviews on Steam, with around 85% of players rating it favorably.

Lust Academy – Season 1 Story

The main character is an 18-year-old male who lost his chance to attend college on a sports scholarship because of an injury. One day, he receives a letter inviting him to Cordale Academy of Magic and Wizardry, the oldest magic academy in the New World. He soon discovers that he has magical powers and begins his studies at the academy. As the story moves forward, he meets other students, builds friendships, encounters rivals, and gets involved in romantic relationships with several characters. The goal is to grow from a new student into a powerful and legendary mage.

Lust Academy – Season 1 Gameplay

The game is a 3D visual novel where the player reads the story and clicks to move forward. Players can interact with characters and objects by hovering over them, as all interactable items are highlighted on screen. The game offers two modes. In Sandbox mode, the player can freely move between 25 locations and spend time with any character without a fixed order. In Visual Novel mode, the story is presented in a more guided way with less free roaming, so the player stays focused on the main plot. A Calendar tab on the interface lets the player fast-travel directly to any available character instead of walking to them. The game also includes a few optional mini-games that can be skipped at any time. The main story takes around six to seven hours to complete.

The game includes over 25 unique characters, and nearly all female characters, as well as some male characters, are available as romance interests. Players can follow individual character questlines to build closer relationships. A Character Info tab helps players keep track of each character’s storyline. The in-game Lustagram app, found on the Phone tab, lets players view extra renders and learn more about character backgrounds. The game contains over 5,500 high-quality 3D renders and more than 250 animations running at 60 frames per second. It supports Steam Achievements and Steam Cloud. A DLC called the Wizard Pack is also available for the game. Lust Academy – Season 1 is playable on Windows and Mac, with partial Steam Deck support.
