Lust from Beyond is a psychological horror adventure game for PC. Movie Games Lunarium developed the game, and Movie Games S.A. published it. The game was released on March 11, 2021. This is a survival horror game that combines Lovecraftian horror with mature content for adult players only. The game runs on Windows and supports multiple languages, including English, Polish, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, and Turkish. It is the sequel to Lust for Darkness.

Lust from Beyond Story

Victor Holloway is an antique dealer who begins having terrible visions of an otherworldly dimension. This strange place is full of pain and disturbing scenes that torment him every day. Victor needs to understand where these visions come from and what they mean. To find answers, he joins a secret organization called the Cult of Ecstasy.

The cult members promise to help him understand his visions and discover their source. However, Victor soon becomes lost in the cult’s unusual customs and sexual practices. The cultists believe they can use Victor’s visions to open a portal to Lusst’ghaa, which they call the Land of Ecstasy. This is an alternate dimension beyond normal reality. As Victor explores the cult from inside, he must investigate two competing cults and learn about his special power to enter Lusst’ghaa. The game draws inspiration from H.P. Lovecraft, H.R. Giger, and Zdzisław Beksiński for its dark and disturbing visuals.

Lust from Beyond Gameplay

This is a first-person survival horror game where you play as Victor exploring various locations. The game includes stealth sections where you must hide from enemies and avoid being detected. Later in the game, you can fight using weapons like knives and pistols. Some areas require you to run away from danger because combat is not possible. Your health has two parts: physical trauma and mental trauma. Both types of damage can be healed using items you find. You collect various objects throughout the game and use them to complete tasks. Some areas require you to figure out how to proceed by using the correct items. Not all areas can be accessed until specific story events happen.

Lust from Beyond Features

The game uses detailed 3D graphics to create disturbing environments inspired by biomechanical horror artists. Lusst’ghaa has pulsating organic structures and bizarre alien architecture. The game includes explicit adult content and erotic scenes that are part of the story. An M Edition was released on February 10, 2022, which tones down explicit content to achieve a Mature rating instead of Adults Only. This version covers nudity with appropriate clothing and rearranges some scenes. The original adult version remains available for players who want the full experience. The game takes about nine hours to complete the main story. Multiple endings are available based on your actions. The game received mixed reviews with an 81% positive rating from over 3,800 players on Steam.
