Saki is a shrine maiden who enters a cursed dungeon with the goal of cleansing it of evil. Inside the dungeon, she faces abominable demons who attack her body as a way to win in battle. The further she goes into the dungeon, the stronger and more dangerous the demons become. Saki possesses a special ability that lets her transform into four separate forms — Standard Form, Fox Spirit Form, Berserker Form, and Snowflake Form — and she must use these wisely to push forward and complete her mission.

Saki and the Crucible of Debauchery is a dungeon crawl RPG. The player moves Saki forward and fights demons in linear dungeon stages. The game can be played manually or on full-auto mode, where battles play out on their own. There are no permanent game over screens during battle, so the player can continue without losing progress. The dungeon also contains traps that must be navigated carefully. Before entering the dungeon, the player can equip Saki with gear to prepare her for the battles ahead. Adult animated scenes are connected to combat and play during battles.
