Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance Story
The game takes place in a destroyed Tokyo that has become a wasteland called Da’at. You play as a high school student who gets transported to this dangerous place. There, you become a being called the Nahobino by combining with a demon. Angels and demons are at war, and you must survive in this dangerous area while trying to understand what happened. The game offers two story paths to choose from at the start. The Canon of Creation follows the original game’s story, while the Canon of Vengeance is a completely new route with additional characters and story events. A mysterious girl named Yoko Hiromine appears in the new path, and you must decide whether to help her or not. This decision determines which story route you will experience. Both routes have their own endings and unique events.
Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance Gameplay
This is a Japanese role-playing game with exploration and combat. You walk around Da’at, talk to demons, find items, and complete missions. The combat uses the Press Turn Battle System. In this system, you get a certain number of actions per turn shown by icons. When you hit an enemy’s weakness or score a critical hit, you gain extra actions. But if you miss or the enemy blocks your attack, you lose actions. This means you must know what attacks work best against each enemy. You can recruit demons by talking to them during battles. Once recruited, these demons fight with you. You can also combine two demons through a process called fusion to create stronger demons. There are over 270 demons you can collect and use. The Nahobino can learn skills from demons and use various types of magic and physical attacks.
Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance Features
The Digital Deluxe Edition includes extra demons like Cleopatra, Mephisto, and Artemis that you can summon. It also has a music pack with tracks from previous Shin Megami Tensei games. There are over 40 new demons added in Vengeance that were not in the original game. The difficulty options let you play at your preferred challenge level. The game has improved graphics and runs better than the original version.
