Bare Witness Story
The story follows a young man who moves to the fictional Plattsburgh College of the Arts in upstate New York to start over after a major personal setback in his life. He hopes that a new place and a new start will help him put his past behind him. However, once he arrives, he quickly runs into someone from his past who could cause more trouble for him. At the same time, he meets several women who become important to him. The story is told across five chapters and has six main romantic interests, a couple of additional side characters, and eleven possible endings in total.

Bare Witness is a visual novel where the player reads the story and makes selections at key moments that shape how the story continues. The game is played with a mouse and has a simple reading interface with character art and background images on screen. The player’s selections impact which women the main character gets close to and which of the eleven endings is reached. The game takes around 12 to 15 hours on average to read from start to finish, and trying all the different routes requires multiple playthroughs.
