The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom PC Game Download

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is an action-adventure game developed by Nintendo and Grezzo and published by Nintendo. The game was released on September 26, 2024, exclusively for Nintendo Switch. Grezzo is the same studio that worked on the Link’s Awakening remake for Switch in 2019. The game uses a similar visual style and engine to that remake. This is the first mainline Zelda game where Princess Zelda is the main playable character instead of Link. The game was produced by Eiji Aonuma and directed by Satoshi Terada from Grezzo and Tomomi Sano from Nintendo.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom Story

The game begins with Link defeating Ganon and freeing Princess Zelda from a crystal prison. However, just after his victory, mysterious rifts appear and Link gets pulled into one of them before disappearing. These rifts start appearing all across Hyrule, swallowing people, objects, and even entire locations into them. Zelda escapes from the castle before it gets consumed by a rift. She teams up with a small fairy-like creature named Tri, who gives her a magical staff called the Tri Rod. Together, they set out on a mission to stop the rifts from spreading and rescue Link and the people of Hyrule.

The true villain behind the rifts is revealed to be Null, a primordial evil that existed in the void before reality was created. Null wants to consume all of existence and return everything to the void. The Golden Goddesses Din, Nayru, and Farore created the universe to seal away Null. Zelda must repair the rifts, confront Null, and save both Link and her kingdom.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom Gameplay

The game is played from a top-down perspective similar to classic 2D Zelda games. However, Zelda does not fight with a sword like Link does. Instead, she uses the Tri Rod to create echoes, which are copies of objects and enemies that she encounters throughout her adventure. Players can copy almost any object they find, such as tables, beds, blocks of ice, pots, and trampolines. These echoes can be used to climb to higher places, block wind currents, activate switches, and navigate through dungeons. Zelda can also create echoes of most enemies she encounters.

These enemy echoes will fight alongside her and attack hostile creatures automatically. Players need to manage how many echoes they can have active at once, as each echo uses a certain number of points from Tri’s power. Later in the game, Zelda gains access to Swordfighter Form when she finds a Mysterious Sword. This allows her to temporarily fight with a sword and shield like Link in traditional Zelda games, but only for a limited time.
