30XX Deluxe Edition is an action platformer game developed and published by Batterystaple Games. The game was released on August 9, 2023, for PC through Steam and GOG. It also came to Nintendo Switch on September 1, 2023, in North America. The game had been in early access on PC since February 17, 2021. 30XX is the sequel to 20XX, which came out in 2017. The Deluxe Edition includes both the base game and the official soundtrack. The game is inspired by the Mega Man X series but uses procedurally generated stages.

30XX Deluxe Edition Gameplay
30XX is a side-scrolling platformer where players jump, shoot, and slash through stages. Players can choose to play as one of two androids: Nina or Ace. Nina uses a power blaster to shoot enemies from a distance and has a Power Fusion mechanic that allows her to combine abilities. Ace uses an energy sword for close combat and has swift Techniques that focus on combos. The game randomly generates new stages every time you play, so no two runs are exactly the same. However, 30XX also includes a Mega Mode for players who prefer traditional gameplay.
In Mega Mode, the game generates all stages at the start, and they stay the same until you finish the game or start a new save file. When players die, they lose their progress but can unlock permanent upgrades that carry over to future attempts. The game supports both local and online co-op, so two players can play together. Players also get access to a level editor that uses the same tools the developers use. This editor allows players to create their own stages or entire campaigns.
30XX Deluxe Edition Story
The game takes place one thousand years after the events of 20XX. Nina and Ace, the android heroes from the previous game, wake up after sleeping for a millennium. When they awaken, they discover the world has changed completely. The Synthetic Mind has appeared and transformed the world into something very different from what they remember. Humanity has lost its drive and ambition to reach for greater achievements. The world has become a lush but dangerous place. Nina and Ace must explore this new environment and fight against powerful enemies called Guardians who block their path. Their mission is to discover what happened during the thousand years they were asleep and try to save what remains of this changed world.
