You play as the CEO of a corporation in space where you must build your base, manage resources, and destroy rival companies. The game combines two gameplay styles that you can switch between anytime. In RTS mode, you view your space station from a top-down perspective and give commands to your units. You build structures on asteroids, manage your economy, research technologies, and command fleets of ships. In FPS mode, you can jump into any unit or walk around your space station in first person. You can pilot starships from the cockpit, control tanks and mechs, or defend your base on foot when enemies board your station.
You mine resources from nearby asteroids to produce goods. These goods can be sold to passing traders to earn money and gain promotions. Promotions unlock new technologies and better equipment. You must manage your base power supply because running out of power can shut down important systems. You can build defense turrets, laser cannons, and robot soldiers to protect your station. Rival corporations and protestors will attack your base, so you need strong defenses. The game supports both single-player skirmishes against AI and multiplayer, where you fight other human players. In multiplayer, you can work together with friends or compete against them.
