Half-Demon Shinobi Story
The main character is Manari, a quiet Anti-Demon Ninja. At the start of her career, an evil demon sorcerer took away her emotions so she could become a vessel for the Demon Lord’s rebirth. Those lost emotions became three terrible creatures — the Demons of Lust, Wrath, and Idiocy. Manari’s life changes when she meets a normal man named Miyakoji Agu. He carries a special power called the “Bone of the Immortals,” which all demons want for its great strength. After spending time with him, Manari finds that this power can also make her own ninjutsu stronger. Together, Manari and Agu set out to fight and defeat demons one by one.
Half-Demon Shinobi Gameplay
Half-Demon Shinobi is a deck-building card game where players collect cards and build the best hand to win battles. At the start of each chapter, the player picks one of four sects — Fire/Earth, Wind/Electricity, Water/Poison, or the unlockable Immortal Sect. Each sect uses a set of cards with its own strengths. Fire cards deal damage and cause burn. Earth cards focus on shields. Wind cards weaken enemies. Electricity can cause paralyze and deal heavy damage. Water cards help draw more cards, while Poison slowly drains enemy health over time.
During battles, five element orbs appear at random. Players use these orbs to play cards from their hand. Unused orbs can be locked in place before a reroll. Cards are collected after each battle or found at map events such as hot springs, card shops, or town visits. Gold is earned and used to buy items, heal, or reroll shop offerings.
After finishing chapters, players earn Soul Orbs. These are used to raise the shinobi level of Manari, which grants upgrades like more health, extra gold, or new abilities. Unlockable features include a waterfall for upgrading cards, a shrine to buy battle charms, and dragon scales that add special bonuses.
Half-Demon Shinobi Features
The game has four main story chapters — Lust, Hatred, Delusion, and Karma — each with a normal and hard version. Players can also try Inferno Abyss Mode for extra challenge. There are 54 Steam achievements to unlock, tied to reaching ninja ranks, completing chapters, and mastering all sect techniques. The game includes full Japanese voice acting, over 20 animated adult scenes, and more than 200 CG image variations. A digital artbook DLC is also available, featuring character illustrations and early concept art from the development of the game.
