In this game, you play as Makoto Naegi, an ordinary student who gets accepted into Hope’s Peak Academy, a school for the most talented students in various fields. However, things turn dark when Makoto and his classmates find themselves trapped inside the school by Monokuma, a mysterious and mischievous bear.
Monokuma forces the students into a deadly game where they must kill each other to escape. After a murder, the remaining students hold a trial to find the killer. If the killer is caught, they face punishment. If not, everyone else is punished, and the killer goes free.
