The war at sea takes center stage in Hearts of Iron IV: Man the Guns. Players can now build and customize their warships using the new Ship Designer tool. With Man the Guns, we introduced the new Ship Designer, allowing you to further specialize your ships for optimal performance in the role in which you intend to use them. You can create battleships, destroyers, submarines, and aircraft carriers to fit your battle plans.
The expansion changes how naval combat works completely. Players can alter their convoy routes to avoid hungry wolf packs of enemy submarines. Naval battles now require more planning and strategy. You need to think about where to send your fleets and how to protect your supply ships. The game also includes new naval missions that help support land invasions. Ship refitting is another key feature. You can take older ships and upgrade them with newer technology and weapons.
