Thank Goodness You’re Here! is a comedy adventure game that takes place in a strange Northern English town. Coal Supper developed this game, and Panic published it. The game was released on August 1, 2024, for PC on Steam and Epic Games Store. It is a short comedy game where you play as a travelling salesman who helps townspeople with unusual tasks.

You play as a travelling salesman who arrives early for a big meeting with the mayor of Barnsworth, a strange town in Northern England. The mayor is in a long meeting, so you have time to walk around town. While waiting, the townspeople keep asking you to help them with jobs. These tasks start simple but become stranger as you continue. You help people with things like mowing lawns and getting arms unstuck from sewer grates. Some tasks are very unusual, like helping a bedridden man whose arm is extremely long go shopping. As you complete more jobs, new areas of the town open up. At the end of the game, so many people want your help that you become overwhelmed. When you finally return to the mayor’s office, the mayor also wants you to run an errand for him.
Thank Goodness You’re Here! Gameplay
The game is played from a 2D side view, and sometimes switches to an overhead view. You can only do two things in the game, jump and slap. You slap people, animals, and objects to interact with them and get responses. When you slap someone enough times and finish their task, they stop talking and make noises to show there is nothing more to do with them. Jumping helps you reach some areas, but the game is not difficult and does not require hard platforming skills. The salesman’s character is very small compared to other people in the town. When you complete tasks for people, the town changes and new areas become available. The game takes about two and a half hours to finish. Sometimes the game shows surreal scenes that happen inside strange places, like inside a meat, inside a beer keg, or inside a cow’s mind. All characters talk with full voice acting, and the game has many jokes and funny moments.
