Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition is a fighting game developed by NetherRealm Studios and High Voltage Software, and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The game was released for PC on July 3, 2013. This is an expanded version of Mortal Kombat 9 that includes all downloadable content released for the original game. The Komplete Edition was first released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in February 2012 before coming to PC.

Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition Story
The game is a reboot of the Mortal Kombat series that retells events from the first three games. The story begins during Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, where Raiden is about to be killed by Shao Kahn. Before dying, Raiden sends a mental message back in time to his younger self to prevent the future apocalypse. However, his past self misunderstands the message, which creates a new timeline. The story mode follows events from the original Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat II, and Mortal Kombat 3, but with changes due to Raiden’s interference. Players experience the tournament from the perspective of various fighters as they battle to protect Earthrealm from Outworld’s invasion led by Shao Kahn.
Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition Gameplay
This is a 2D fighting game where two players battle using punches, kicks, and special moves. You can play in traditional one versus one matches or team up with another player in Tag Team mode. The combat uses a three-button attack option with high punch, low punch, high kick, and low kick buttons. Every character has special moves and combos unique to them. The game includes an X-Ray move that shows bones breaking during powerful attacks. Finishing moves called Fatalities let you defeat opponents in violent ways after winning. The game has a Challenge Tower mode with 300 missions. You can also fight online against other players or watch battles in King of the Hill mode.
Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition Features
The Komplete Edition includes the full game plus four DLC characters: Skarlet, Kenshi, Rain, and Freddy Krueger from the Nightmare on Elm Street films. The package also contains 15 classic character costumes and three classic Fatalities for Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Reptile. The roster has over 25 playable fighters, including series favorites like Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Liu Kang, Raiden, Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade, Jax, and Kitana. Kratos from God of War is exclusive to PlayStation versions. The game supports fight sticks and has full controller options.
