The story takes place in Hisui City, a modern Japanese city you visit as a tourist. Without warning, a massive earthquake hits the town and destroys buildings around you. You must find a way to survive in this chaos where the ground shakes, buildings fall, and people run around in panic. The earthquake causes fires and floods and cuts off electricity throughout the city. As you try to escape, you meet many other survivors who need help. Some people are trapped under fallen concrete, others are hurt and bleeding, and many are too scared to move. Throughout your escape, you have to decide whether to help these people or focus on saving yourself. The story shows how people react when faced with a real disaster and how important it is to work together during terrible times.

The game uses third-person controls where you walk through the damaged city while avoiding falling debris and cracked roads. You do not fight monsters or enemies in this game because the earthquake is your main threat. The game includes a stress meter that shows how scared or tired your character becomes during the disaster.
