Need for Speed Most Wanted 2012 is a Car racing video game that is played globally. This game is introduced in the year 2005 & is the 9th installment of this Need for Speed series. This game is developed by EA Black Box & EA Canada.

The game begins in the wonderful city of Fairhaven where all the mischievous street racers call home. To begin in this game, you have to build a name for yourself. You have to make your way in the list of most wanted drivers by gaining points. For this, you have to show your skills, taking down your competitors, shutting down the locations of various high skilled drivers, & also escaping police chases.

In this game, players have to participate in street racing that is illegal. You have to utilize several real-world cars that can be customized & upgraded with new parts. In the career mode, players can utilize the nitrogen boosts to speed up their vehicle against your enemy or competitor. Nitrogen boosts take their time to recharge & permit players to use them again when required. There is also another ability that can be used by players in their tough time known as “Speed breaker”. This ability can slow down the time & also maximize the vehicle’s weight thus, make the vehicle harder to be pushed further. This can help the player to maneuver their vehicle in a tough situation.

Police Pursuit: in this concept, players can be engaged in a police pursuit by making a traffic offense. At this point, the main motive of the player is to escape from the police. This can be done by taking down pursuing vehicles or evading the police. During a pursuit, the on-screen HUD of the game is modified that includes showcasing pursuing unit of police in the mini-map, showing heat-level of the vehicle, & also a pursuit bar is there that gives details about the number of units of police in the pursuit.

Career Mode: this is the main mode of the game. Here the main objective is to compete with the street racers of the game’s setting & to defeat them. To ease players into the game, they have to begin with a tutorial sequence of events. Players can choose their car for the game but the selection of cars is limited can be exceeded by defeating every Blacklist racer. To compete with Blacklist racers, players have to finish events & milestones in the game. By defeating a Blacklist racer, players can move to the next competitor & can unlock the new events in the game.

Challenge series, quick race, & multiplayer: in challenge mode, players have to complete a particular event to unlock the next event where most of the events are checkpoint races. Vehicles for each event are auto-selected & players can earn rewards also by winning these events. In the quick race, players can select any event that is unlocked. Players can select different cars that are auto-selected for that event. The number of events & cars are depending on the progress made by the player. Multiplayer mode is basically an online mode where up to 4 players can join. For this, they can race in four game modes that comprise speed trap, circuit, lap knockout, & sprint. There is a choice where players can enable Performance Matching where all the vehicles are upgraded automatically to match the top speed, & handling. After the match is over, all the developments made in the vehicles are excluded. There are various cut scenes (live-action videos)) in the game that is shot with actors. CGI effects are also included for the exteriors & environments to give extra visual flair.
