Spider Man 3 is a 2007 action game that follows the plot of the movie with a few additions of villains, released in the same year. The game was made by Activision and published for PlayStation 2 and 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation Portable, Wii, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS, and PC. Depending on the platform you are playing on, you will get a different list of villains from Marvel comics. You still get the film’s main villains.

Plot:
If you have watched the film before, you probably know the plot of the game. Peter Parker does not communicate with Harry Osborn anymore. The symbiote falls on earth from space and is looking for a host to survive. The symbiote attaches itself to the shoe of Peter Parker when he is talking to Mary Jane about Harry. Harry also becomes the new Green Goblin.
Dr. Connors turns into the Lizard after performing a series of experiments on himself with the hope of growing a new arm. Spiderman has to track down the Lizard and defeat him. Harry attacks Peter as the new Goblin, but he is defeated and knocked unconscious.
Sandman is introduced into the game, and he tries to kill Peter. They later reconcile after Sandman’s plan fails after he is defeated by Spiderman. In the end, Harry is killed trying to help Spiderman when he is fighting Venom. Peter defeats the Venom by using sonic vibrations.
This is just a quick summary of the whole plot of the game. Basically, you play as Peter Parker trying to finish the plot from the movie with new additions depending on the version of the game you have.
Gameplay:
Spider Man 3 retains the same gameplay from the previous installment. You get the chance to explore the Manhattan map, but some locations have been restricted. Players can now use spider-sense to help them complete missions. Also, players can now use the Black Suit’s power which intensifies the speed and strength of their character. You can, however, wear the suit for a limited amount of time. The longer you wear the suit, the more you become a villain. When the screen turns black, your character dies, and you will have to restart the game. The gameplay is similar for all the versions of the game. Still, each version has a difference in its gameplay to make it unique.
Special Editions:
For those who are playing on PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3, you have the chance to purchase special editions. The PlayStation 3 comes with a Collector’s Edition artwork that shows a full-colored Black Suit of Spiderman. The PlayStation also comes with a special edition.
